{ ...and then my heart melted }

Lake Tahoe--February

This weekend our friends invited us to join them for a couple of days at their parents house in Lake Tahoe. Before the Superbowl started yesterday, little one and I went out for some girl time together. We thought about playing in the snow, but decided instead, to go ice skating and walk along the beach.

As I was putting little one to bed last night, she smiled and closed her eyes. "This was the best day ever," she said.

Hello,

I just found your blog today.

What a beautiful little girl you have and what a beautiful place Lake Tahoe is!

I am from New York, so I don't get to see mountains like that too often.

lovely.

some of my happiest memories are of childhood summers spent at tahoe---isn't it one of the most breathtaking places on earth? i guarantee you that your daughter will cherish the time she spends there forever!

Okay, this story made my day! What a sweet daughter. So happy you had a lovely day together.

We're in a really challenging phase right now with our 18mo and 4yo. Lots of whining, competition for attention, fighting, etc. I hope when they are older we can have days like this. Right now it's a lot of management.
