Recently, I was organizing one of our closets and {re}discovered an old Canon AE-1 camera

that my dad handed down to me years ago. I can't wait to play with it for the first time this weekend!

Whiling away the hours at an outdoor cafe is about as good as it gets. Those I experienced in Paris are my favorites, but just about any one will do.

I recently happened upon Dottie Angel's flickr stream and fell totally and completely head over heels for her fabulous, eclectic style. An avid collector and DIY genius, Tif is generous about sharing her projects and oodles of inspiring eye candy along the way. It was just what I needed to get me off my tush and actually tackle some of the DIY projects that I've planned, but yet to execute. { feeling blue...and white }

A few sunny, 70 degree days this week tricked me into thinking Spring had arrived. Alas, this morning's clouds + rain forecasted for the weekend snapped me right back to the reality that indeed, we have another month of winter. So, I decided to create my own sunshine with one of my favorite color combinations: blue + white....add a dash of polka dots, stripes, and checks for an early dose of Spring.

{ weekend snapshot }

Over the weekend, my sweet Valentine escorted me to the Second Sunday Antiques Faire and waited by patiently as I indulged in my latest obsession, vintage cameras. I happened upon a Brownie Six-20 Junior and had to have it for my tiny, but growing collection, which I plan to display in our home { photos forthcoming }. Exactly how I will display these little beauties has yet to be determined, which is why I found these flickr faves oh-so-inspiring...*swoon*.

{ small talk: crewcuts }

As a small fry, who was still wearing a children's size 14 through my freshman year of high school, I have a love/hate relationship with the über coolness of kids' fashion these days. On the one hand, I love scrolling through the drool- worthy images and styling, yet, all I can think is, "Curse you, fashion designers...where were you when I was rocking my Garanaimals and doing everything in my power to make them look hip?" {I assure you, I was not very successful}.

Case-in-point...the to-die-for Crewcuts' looks for Spring. Adorable...but so not fair!

I'm starting to see tiny buds on our trees and the teeniest of green starts poking their way out of the ground -- a welcome reminder that Spring is just around the corner.
