{ etsy grand opening: rose hip }

A dear blogging friend and loyal S.HOPtalk reader, Beata, contacted to me to announce the much anticipated opening of her etsy shop, rose hip, today at 1:00 pm (pst). To date, Beata has only sold her beautifully crafted creations at a local Farmer's Market near her home in Canada. After much encouragement { and outright begging } from fans of her blog, Beata decided to take her talents to the masses and open her own etsy shop. Given the pent up anticipation that's been building the last couple of months, I expect these little babushka beauties to bounce out of her shop in minutes....so hop on over there quickly.

**Second Line Frames are built from authentic wood siding salvaged from homes destroyed during hurricane Katrina. They have been repurposed as a way of preserving a little part of the beloved memory of old New Orleans. A portion of each sale goes to assist in the rehabilitation of affected neighborhoods.

{ tempting me tuesday: whitney smith pottery }

I just love Whitney Smith's simple, exquisitely hand-crafted ceramic pieces–inspired by her self described obsession with flowers and objects found in nature. Emulating the meticulous craftmanship of an earlier time, Smith throws all of her pieces on the potter's wheel first and then hand carves, textures and paints the distinct details that characterize her unique offerings.

I think one of Smith's captivating creations would make a perfect { and memorable } gift for the spring gift giving season that's upon us { think: weddings, mother's day, first home }. Smith also has a registry service and will work with couples to create custom pieces.

A fresh find { Plümo } has this week off to a fabulous start!

I stumbled upon the antique chic goodness of UK based Plümo over the weekend and found myself immediately adding one of everything to my ever expanding wish list.

From the distinctive details in their clothing and jewelry collections to the vintage vibe of their 'living' and gift offerings, Plümo has proven to be irresistible.
