Instead, we packed a picnic, grabbed some friends, and headed to Apple Hill--an association of 50+ Apple Farms nestled in the nearby foothills and an idyllic spot to sample the Fall season at its best.
A late season freeze at blossom time meant the pickings were, well...a bit slim. The face painting, train ride, and hay maze, however, more than made up for it. Little one will tell you the highlight for her was playing 'big sis' for a day to our friends' four year old twin girls--what a treat!

everyone keeps talking about Apple Hill, and we still haven't made it up... but it is only our 2nd fall here.
