Before I sign off for the weekend I thought I would share some pictures of little one's room with you all. Now that she's out of school for the summer and spending more time at home, we've been working on clearing out the clutter and organizing her room to make clean-up quicker and easier. Despite being somewhat of a tomboy, little one is fine {for now} with all of the girliness I've indulged in here. I hope you like what you see.
This antique iron bed was mine...I just love it in little one's room.
This little cabinet contains many cherished mememtos...here you can see a photo of my grandparents when they were dating, my framed birth announcement, and my daughter's silver baby cup. On the bottom shelf is her first pair of Ked's.
Vintage tea cups and plates adorn this painted armoire which houses all of her books. The bottom drawer (which you can't see here) is used for shoes.
a corner for reading
little details
A wooden, painted crown, personalized with the first initial in her nickname, hangs above her desk.
The shoes must coordinate with the room, no?
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave your thoughtful comments this week. Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating weekend.

ReplyDeleteOh my! Are you serious? This room is honestly every little girl's dream. Actually, it is my dream and I am 34! perfectly pink...and I do mean perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is so dreamy and lovely. Like cotton candy and pearls.
ReplyDeleteThat first image is precious with the lines of the iron bed and teddy in the perfect spot. Love that vintage typewriter and desk! We have that same glider, only in yellow and white.
I'm sharing these images with my two girls [ages 3 and 6], they'll love to see it. We are also working on their rooms this summer. Whew, lots to do.
This is the most gorgeous girl room I've seen! If I were little I would think I was heaven - pink was my favorite color back then. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you all for your kind words. You sure know how to make a girl feel good. :)
ReplyDeleteRobin:
The pink bike was a birthday surprise from hubby and little one. It's a "kosmopolitan" from Kustom Kruiser and yes...I love it. The bunny painting is actually a print on canvas. I can't remember the co. but will track it down for you. If I remember, the prints (I have two) were very reasonable.
Thanks again everyone...so glad you like "our" room.
This was absolutely delicious!! I love each photo...each vignette...and all the nostalgia behind the details. Thanks for such an intimate glimpse into your life...totally beautiful! sigh....
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the pink bikes!! Your daughters room is amazing as well!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling, sweet room! I love all the special little details filling this room! It feels definitely de-cluttered! Such a good feeling :)
